Experimental Improvised Music in 3D (performance), 2014

"Experimental Improvised Music in 3D" was an hour-long performance by Richard Karpen (piano), Ted Poor (drums), Cuong Vu (trumpet), Luke Bergman (bass), Stuart Dempster (trombone), Greg Sinibaldi (saxophone), Juan Pampin and Joseph Anderson (3D electronics). The concert took place on April 17, 2014 at Meany Hall, UW. I supervised the stage design for the concert, in which the audience was on stage surrounded by the performers and inmmersed in a 3D sound system. I have also supervised the development of 3D decoder for a dome of 12.4 speakers as well as an iPad-controlled performance system used for performing the electronics.
