"Untitled" VR Game In-progress, Eleanor Jones, 2021

This is an in-progress VR game, which explores the displacement of personal spaces, using our experiences since the beginning of the COVID pandemic - confronting the way real spaces may feel like a simulation and contain a trail of narratives. Using the space as a virtual sound space with first-person interaction; the idea is to destabilize a participant, as the space becomes a labyrinth of oneself. Partially inspired by Bruce Nauman’s work ‘Going around the corner’ (1970), and Samuel Beckett’s concept the agony of perceivedness from his 1964 film titled ‘Film’. I am exploring gamification and its rules as an engagement mechanism.
