Óseo

On 2018 an experiment that consisted on the construction of a device capable of transducing sound through the cranial bone, came to being. The sound source employed for this prototype was a complex series of sine waves that varied slowly, allowing for diverse modes of oscillation, movement and texture. This work was showcased in Tsonami Sound Art Festival in the city of Valparaíso in the year 2017 and titled Óseo - concert for skulls, which was presented as public space sound action. This intervention took place with 5 beach chairs located in a busy city square, inviting the onlookers to use the device and take some distance from the temporality, rhythm and sonority of the surroundings and immerse themselves in a unipersonal listening experience for any given amount of time, basking in the generative sine wave composition perceived internally through the vibrations generated by the device. .
