How it Works
The rangefinder is an InfraRed (IR) distance measuring sensor unit composed of an integrated combination of PSD (position sensitive detector), IRED (infrared emitting diode) and signal processing circuit.
The output voltage is proportional to the distance to the reflective object.

NOTE: This is a 5V device. The Arduino FIO is a 3.3V platform and does not have a 5V supply line. If you are using an external battery pack or power supply with the FIO that does have 5V, you will be able to use this device.
