Creative Resistance to Anglocentric A.I.: DXARTS research presentation at Seattle's Centro de la Raza
Creative Resistance to Anglocentric A.I. is an artistic research project that empowers artists working with emerging artificial intelligence systems, specifically in languages and contexts other than English. Beginning with Spanish natural language processing research (NLP), this project supports the collaborative work of several Latin American artists working creatively with A.I. generated text in poetic, narrative, and sonic artforms.
Three artists will share the creative outcomes of this research and engage in Q&A:
- Esteban Agosin (Valparaiso, CL) - La Oreja
- Laura Luna Castillo (Puebla, MX) - La Casa de la 11
- Nicolás Kisic Aguirre (Lima, PE) - Realidad Mutada
Generous support for Creative Resistance to Anglocentric A.I. comes from the University of Washington Department of Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS), the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, and Centro Multimedia del Centro Nacional de las Artes (MX).
