Windward || Windword is a collection of interactive installation, spatial sound, 4-channel video and sculpture and is the PhD dissertation show of Joel Ong and Inmi Lee.
The show features the works of two media artists at the end of their immersion in the Digital Arts and Experimental Media program at the University of Washington.
At its core, the works celebrate a return to an elemental medium of communication, exposing the way flux and movement create poetic narratives that are embedded within our global infrastructures. In the hands of the artists, wind is reimagined as a source of disruption, an interplay of power, and a way to orient us toward the global systems we are all profoundly connected to.
