Desobediencias Robóticas

DXARTS PhD students Nicolás Kisic Aguirre and Cristina Brambila organize Desobediencias Robóticas, an event dedicated to art and robotics hosted by the Multimedia Center of the National Center for the Arts (CENART), in Mexico City. Over four weeks, the event includes a colloquium as well as a series of installations by Latin American artists at CENART's Binary Art Gallery, exploring the concept of “Robotic Disobediences”. Held in Mexico City and through experimental practices, the event highlights diverse counter-hegemonic ideas about robotics and art from Latin America, challenging the notion that robotic creation and imagination are confined to obedience. Talks, activations, performances, and workshops contribute to the understanding of disobedient robotics and its implications for the technological arts.
