The Center for Digital Art and Experimental Media and the School of Music are pleased to present a program of classic works for loudspeaker orchestra. Harrison’s Klang evidences an immediate concern with “sound” and representations of performance. Risset’s Sud presents a “sound photograph”, as series of sequences of images of the sea. With Pour la Terre Karpen offers a musical chiaroscuro, of light and shadow, a lyrical obbligato on the human condition.
