"Telematic Jamming": This quarter, the course is being offered primarily for graduate students (others with permission) with advanced skills in live performance, digital media, and experience in improvisation. The course will be offered mostly "online" and class sessions will involve participation in telematic improvisation. Some sessions will be geared mostly to music/sound improvisation. Some could include various other media. Students will be expected to be able to connect via a high-speed network and to manage hardware and software on their own computers. 

Catalog Description: 
Focuses on the production of artworks that make use of real-time information networks. Topics include Internet art, database-driven art, and telematic installation art. Prerequisite: either DXARTS 470, DXARTS 473, or permission of instructor.
