Haein Kang is an internationally active artist who is born in Korea and lives in Seattle. Her work poetically engages with advanced technology to create machines solely for beauty. She began her art career in 2002 by winning the grand prize at an installation art competition hosted by the San Francisco Arts Commission, held a solo exhibition at the SOMA Museum of Art in 2009, and received Honorary Mention at Prix Ars Electronica in 2019. She has received numerous grants and fellowships such as 4Culture Arts Projects grant and Scientific Delirium Madness. She is also participating in various conferences on art and technology convergence, including  ISEA, IEEE-GEM, and SIGGRAPH.
